Rachel Banua

"Children deserve the best part of us, and teaching is the best part of me.

I'm excited to help your child through the power of music."

Rachel started playing piano at the young age of three. Her mother was a piano

teacher too, so her home was always filled with music.

Rachel played by ear throughout most of her childhood and finally began lessons at age 12. She studied music composition by taking modern and classical piano lessons and eventually

competed in state piano contests.

She received the high honor of performing at the Prelude Awards for earning "Best of Performance" out of all first-placed contestants in the state of Indiana.

Rachel went on to study Elementary Education at Indiana University Purdue

University of Indianapolis (IUPUI) and received her Master of Science in Education.

She remained committed to the performing arts by participating in

theatre throughout her adult life. Some of her performances include Rizzo in Grease,

Piglet in Winnie the Pooh, and starring as Medea in the Greek tragedy, Medea.

Rachel has served as a keyboard player for churches for over fifteen years and has

traveled with her husband (Brother Joe) to play B3 organ and keys in his Nashville based Country/Rock band.

Rachel also has experience as a session player in recording studios of Nashville and she is excited to share her gifts with future generations!
